Treating and living with endometriosis
Pain during periods is unfortunately common. But pelvic pain when you’re not…
Dr. Thomas Brennan is a board-eligible OB/GYN physician and surgeon at Women's Healthcare Associates in Portland, Oregon.
"I hope that every patient leaves a visit with me feeling heard, valued and appreciated and that we are a team working together. I am honored and humbled to be able to care for women during some of the most challenging and important stages of their lives and I take the trust they place in me very seriously."
A fascination with anatomy and physiology, combined with a passion for learning and a desire to be challenged led Dr. Brennan toward a career in medicine. He chose OB/GYN because of the opportunity it offered to develop lasting bonds with patients during some of the most important times of their lives, while still pursuing his passion for surgery. In addition to caring for women during pregnancy and childbirth, he also helps them address a variety of gynecologic issues, including symptoms such as abnormal or heavy bleeding and pelvic pain and conditions such as endometriosis, ovarian cysts, uterine fibroids and uterine polyps.
Dr. Brennan grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah but has been in Portland since moving here for college in 2004. He is married with three children. In addition to spending time with family, he enjoys watching sports and writing poetry.

The nurse was PHENOMENAL! I have no bruising from my IV. The anesthesiologist was fantastic. Whole team made sure I was comfortable in an uncomfortable situation.
Dr. Brennan was so compassionate and helpful. He answered all my questions clearly, and I never felt rushed. He isn't my primary WHA provider, I saw him for an urgent appointment. I really appreciated how he managed my full episode of care so that I had continuity throughout a very stressful time.
Dr Brennan and Amanda were great as always! I appreciate that he wanted to do a little research before prescribing a medication. He is well aware of my history and I am grateful for how intentional he is with his care. My chart notes were signed the next day and my prescription was sent in! Thank you for your phenomenal care!
He is one of the most empathetic doctors I have ever seen. My nurse was also amazing and is wonderful at her job.
Dr Brennan was great.
This is only the second time here and each time it feels so wonderful. It’s like a family feeling and I love it.
Great service. Great team.

Medical staff was amazing and doctor was so nice and everyone was great as always here!
Always great seeing Dr. Brennan. He is always up to date on my care and willing to work with me. I am always given space to ask any questions and am never judged.
It felt very rushed, I probably listened to the baby’s heartbeat for less than a minute, and I feel like I wasn’t satisfied with the response with my question of “how do I know my baby will be ok from now until the ultrasound”
Dr. Brennan is great!
Dr. Brennan is very knowledgeable and easy to talk to. Thanks for the great care!
