Mackenzie Giunio-Zorkin, MD, is an OB/GYN physician and surgeon with Women's Healthcare Associates in Portland, Oregon.
“Honesty is really important to me. I never want someone to think I’m hiding or withholding something. Not every conversation is going to be a good one, but I will always be honest, clear and careful to make sure people understand their options and can choose what’s best for them.”
Listening is the foundation of Dr. Giunio-Zorkin’s approach to understanding and validating each person’s thoughts, opinions and experiences. With understanding at the center, she is able to offer support, options and care that fit within the context of each person’s life. She appreciates the breadth of obstetrics and gynecology across the lifespan and feels honored to be invited into the lives of her patients in so many different ways.
Dr. Giunio-Zorkin provides wellness, gynecology and pregnancy care to people of all ages. She especially enjoys moments when people stop her with a question they’ve hesitated to ask before because it means they feel comfortable and confident that she will listen and take them seriously—and she encourages everyone to stay curious and ask questions to get the most out of their healthcare partnership. In all aspects of her practice, Dr. Giunio-Zorkin emphasizes patient autonomy and making sure each person is prepared to make informed decisions with up-to-date, evidence-based knowledge, including teens and young adults, who she enjoys guiding through contraception decisions.
A new home owner, Dr. Giunio-Zorkin is enjoying all that entails. She also loves finding and trying new restaurants, crafting, being outside, theater, festivals and holidays—basically any way to make a normal day more special. She also enjoys traveling and looks forward to getting back into that when life allows.

Dr. and team was very kind, I felt comfortable for begining to the end of visit
I super appreciate the time taken to review prior health info as I become a new patient, and the switch from a midwife to provider based on this information.
This was my first visit with Dr Zorkin. I felt she was more interested in communicating her preferences for managing birth control and menopause than participating in shared decision making. I didn’t find her personable. I am not a high utilizer of health care, therefore, a good relationship with my provider is very important to me. I’ve always had that and will make efforts to find that again at WHA. It won’t be with Dr Zorkin, however.
She's amazing!
Dr Zorkin was very nice, very thorough. If I had need of a full time OB/GYN I would see her.
No introduction even though a new doctor. Didn't seem caring including when problem was discovered.
Dr. Zorkin was straightforward but kind. She told me straight out that she wanted to do what was needed to keep me safe from uterine cancer. By saying it straight out I wasn't left wondering.
Thorough and informative!
