Let’s talk about painful sex.
In our culture, women’s sexuality isn’t often talked about honestly or openly.…
Gina Allison, MD, is a board-certified gynecologist physician and surgeon at Northwest Gynecology Center in Tualatin, Oregon.
“Many of the women I see in my practice are busy caring for the other people in their life. It’s my goal to be there for them—for them to feel heard and cared for. I consider it a privilege to be able to work together with women to improve all aspects of their physical and emotional health.”
Dr. Allison provides gynecology and preventative health care to women of all ages. Her specialties include vulvovaginal disorders, such as vulvar dermatologic problems, itching, pain with intercourse, vulvar lesions, recurrent vulvar/vaginal infections and vulvodynia, as well as sexuality/sexual dysfunction, menopause and minimally invasive surgery. She works to gain the trust and confidence of her patients needed to successfully address these health issues—both complicated and routine—which can have a dramatic impact on a woman’s quality of life and sexuality. In addition to her education, training and experience as an OB/GYN physician and surgeon, she has completed a special program of advanced study in vulvar health at OHSU.
When not at work, Dr. Allison enjoys hiking, backpacking, telemark skiing, running, cooking, and growing vegetables. She is married and has three children.
