Britney Frank is a certified nurse-midwife with Women's Healthcare Associates in Oregon City, Oregon.
“I remember as a teen having a sense that my reproductive health education was inadequate. Why didn’t I know basic things about my body, my health, my fertility—why weren’t those things talked about? It’s that lack of basic education and female community for sharing accurate information that drew me to a career in women’s health—and continues to be the driving force in my interactions with patients.”
Britney’s inspiration comes from relating to patients through education: watching them receive and connect with information and being able to take their health into their own hands and make progress toward their goals—or simply better cope with whatever they’re experiencing. She particularly enjoys helping people understand their fertility and pregnancy prevention options, including fertility awareness contraception and non-hormonal birth control options. She loves all aspects of caring for people during pregnancy, birth and postpartum—and connects well with teens, young adults and people who identify as LGBTQ+. Britney’s experience includes working in a non-profit clinic helping people who are in unplanned pregnancies or are uninsured—and being the starting place for those without much experience navigating the healthcare system is something she finds very rewarding.
Born and raised in the Portland area, Britney loves being able to give back professionally to this community. When not working, she stays busy with two sons and the companionship of her best friend—a Labrador retriever.
