Dr. Alina Geller is a board-certified OB/GYN physician and surgeon with Women's Healthcare Associates in Newberg, Oregon.
“My goal is that each person leaves a visit feeling satisfied with their care and confident in their knowledge of what is happening with their health and their body.”
Dr. Geller’s path to a career in medicine began as a high school student in Brooklyn, New York where she volunteered as an interpreter for Russian-speaking patients in a local clinic. In addition to observing the medical professionals and hearing how they counseled patients, she recognized the vulnerability of people experiencing a language or cultural barrier and the tremendous value of compassion and human connection in those situations. Her love of gynecologic and minimally invasive surgery and the honor of caring for people during pregnancy and childbirth eventually led her to OB/GYN.
Today, Dr. Geller appreciates being able to help people solve problems and understand their health—whether they are a teen with questions about sex and sexuality, a expecting parent experiencing their first pregnancy, someone weighing their contraceptive options or a woman addressing the symptoms of menopause. In addition to caring for healthy, routine pregnancies, Dr. Geller also helps her patients manage complications during pregnancy, such as diabetes, thyroid issues, hypertension, asthma, anxiety and depression. She has a particular interest in adolescent health, contraception, and gynecologic surgery, including minimally invasive techniques.
Dr. Geller and her husband have three children and she enjoys cooking, hiking and knitting.
