Can labor induction increase the chance of C-section?
Labor induction is the medical term for stimulating the onset of labor.…
Jaime Kean, MD, is a board-certified OB/GYN physician and surgeon at Women's Healthcare Associates in Portland, Oregon.
“I hope every woman I see leaves feeling her questions were addressed, she understands what she’s experiencing and she has a clear plan for moving forward that feels manageable to her—whether she’s been in to revisit her birth control, talk about plans for becoming pregnant, address a concern or just to stay on top of her health and routine screenings.”
Dr. Kean fell in love with obstetrics and gynecology during her third year of medical school and hasn’t looked back since. She enjoys all aspects of caring for women, but especially the chance to build long-term relationships that often begin during pregnancy and continue throughout their lives. In addition to obstetric and wellness care, she often helps women evaluate their contraceptive options or address gynecological issues, such as abnormal Pap tests, abnormal menstrual bleeding and endometrial polyps.
Dr. Kean has two teenage daughters whom she taxis to piano, flute and soccer. They also enjoy going to plays and the symphony, as well as hiking, skiing, swimming and spending time in Central Oregon.

I’m very happy that both the doctor and assistant wore quality masks during our appointment. It’s a positive reflection of their patient and self care.

Thanks to Dr. Kean for talking this through (at what age to go off birth control pills) and laying out some options. It was a good conversation and the appointment did not feel rushed.

Dr. Kean never seems rushed and is always prepared, thoughtful and kind.
Dr. Keane is really wonderful at putting me at ease, as well as the staff and the My Chart staff.
My first visit with Dr. Kean and I was very impressed and comfortable with seeing her. She seems "tuned into" my aging care needs and was happy to help with any questions/concerns and gladly followed through with what Dr. Hamilton had started.
Dr. Kean is the best!
Dr. Kean is very patient and is a good listener.
I have high anxiety regarding medical procedures, which my provider showed respect and care for. This alleviated my concerns and helped me get through with the exam.
I can’t remember her name, but whoever assisted with my vitals before I saw the Dr deserves special recognition. She made me, someone who falls under the non-binary umbrella, feel extremely at ease right off the bat. She promptly asked for my pronouns and used them correctly, and was friendly and enjoyable to talk to. I look forward to returning based off of my experience with her.
There was a student with her as well and I want to say that I normally prefer my female doctors but agreed to have him attend. He was very professional, courteous and nice! He asked each time before doing a step/procedure which was unexpected but very much appreciated. I have been going here for many many years and have always loved my doctors!
This was not my regular provider, but Dr. Keen was very easy to talk to and I felt she was informed about me and cared.
I felt that Dr Kean sincerely cares and remembers me.
I felt well taken care of.
It was great!
