Lisa Diepenhorst, MD, is a board-certified OB/GYN physician and surgeon at Women's Healthcare Associates in Portland, Oregon. Dr. Diepenhorst's primary hospital location is Legacy Good Samaritan Medical Center in Northwest Portland.
“I really enjoy the relationships and rapport I have with my patients. It makes a visit to the doctor more fun—for both of us—but more than that, it helps me do my job better. I’m able to tell when something isn’t quite right and people are more willing to open up about what’s going on in their lives that could influence the decisions we make together.”
The combination of science, biology and personal connections is what drew Dr. Diepenhorst to medicine. She loves OB/GYN because of the impact she is able to have in the lives of her patients—helping them find options that best meet their needs, address gynecologic problems that are impacting their lives or support and care for them through pregnancy. In addition to obstetrics, Dr. Diepenhorst enjoys helping teens and women of all ages find the birth control that is best for them, address abnormal bleeding, manage abnormal Pap tests and figure out how to lead the healthiest life they can—particularly through integrating physical activity in ways that are reasonable and approachable. She is also skilled in hysteroscopic surgery.
In her spare time, Dr. Diepenhorst enjoys travel, running, rock climbing and skiing and loves being outdoors with her golden retriever Nelson.

My provider seems quite knowledgeable. She appears to keep up with the latest research and standard of care and I really appreciate that.
Dr. Diepenhorst is the best!
Both the dr. and assistant were so kind to me. I had just found out my grandmother was being moved to comfort care in the hospital as I arrived at the appointment. I was crying and they were so understanding and offered to reschedule my visit, but I wanted to go ahead with it. Really appreciated their bedside manner in the moment.
Care and consideration above and beyond what one expects.
Dr. Diepenhorst was extremely kind and easy to talk to. I feel I?m in excellent hands! Fallon, her assistant was also extremely warm and professional! Would highly recommend this doctor.
This was my first time doing a wellness check. I really appreciated the doctor bringing in the nurse to chat which kept my mind busy during while the doctor did their work. It eases my nerves and again it was deeply appreciated
Really enjoy Dr. Diepenhorst
Always a pleasure to see Dr. Dieponhorst. She provides me with excellent care, information and advice regarding my health.
I felt the provider was dismissive of my concern and didn't take it seriously. I felt they could have ask more questions.
I feel like she didn't explain what she was doing while she was doing it which was stressful and made everything surprising. I also explicitly said I did not want a chaperone but they recorded the opposite and brought one anyway.
My appointment was very delicate matter and they were all very sweet and empathetic, show so much compassion and provided me with everything
Dr. Diepenhorst was so caring and helpful. She made me feel very comfortable and I really appreciated her help.
She listened attentively, and she understood my concerns.
Jessica the MA is great.
Dr. Diepenhorst is a great listener and understand my feelings and concerns about my wellness. She doesn't rush through the appointment and she is personable and compassionate.
Excellent visit overall
Dr Diepenhorst is the BEST, I am so grateful to have her as one of my doctors!
First visit with this provider after being Dr Dooms patient for a few years. Very smooth transition that will turn into a long term relationship
This was my first visit with Dr. Diepenhorst. I appreciate her attentiveness and thoroughness. I'll forgive her that she went to Michigan and I went to Ohio State! :)
I have seen Dr. Diepenhorst for 15 years now and she is an invaluable part of my medical team. I greatly respect and trust Dr. Diepenhorst - she spends time listening to my concerns and questions; she is diligent in her assessment and provides thoughtful recommendations in a kind and caring manner.
