Dr. Prescott grew up in the coastal plains of South Carolina and still has family and strong roots there. He earned his bachelor’s degree in psychology at the University of South Carolina before attending medical school at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. He completed his OB/GYN specialty training at the Medical University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, where he was recognized with the Fowler-Varia Award for dedication to integrity in medical practice.
Dr. Prescott is board-certified in OB/GYN. He has served as president of the Oregon chapter of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and as a clinical instructor in the department of obstetrics and gynecology at Oregon Health & Science University, as well as chairman of the OB/GYN department and chair of the gynecology peer review committee at Providence Portland Medical Center.
Dr. Prescott enjoys the long-term relationships that he develops with his patients, helping them through many of life’s most important events. He has traveled to Guatemala on surgical mission trips and enjoys the satisfaction of being able to relieve suffering and improve a woman’s quality of life.
When he’s not at work, Dr. Prescott enjoys fly fishing, golfing and running. He also plays the guitar and fiddle. He and his wife are the proud parents of one University of Oregon graduate, and their youngest is currently attending the U of O.
