Nikki grew up in Atlanta, Georgia. Both of her parents were involved in healthcare, and her interest began while attending Middlebury College in Vermont for her bachelor’s degree in geography and sociology-anthropology. An externship working with two homebirth certified nurse midwives led her to pursue a career in midwifery. She moved to the Pacific Northwest to attend Oregon Health & Science University for her bachelor’s degree in nursing and master’s degree in nurse midwifery.
In her practice, Nikki enjoys working with women from different cultures and traditions in supporting normal birth, breastfeeding and helping them make contraceptive choices for their family. Other areas of interest include educating women about their health overall, promoting wellness through dietary counseling and encouraging healthy lifestyles.
Nikki enjoys a variety of outdoor activities in her spare time, including hiking, skiing, traveling and working in the garden. She also enjoys spending time with friends and family.
