Megan grew up on the island of Guam in the Western Pacific. She spent summers in Portland and Bend, and returned to the Pacific Northwest for college. She received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Willamette University. She attended Seattle University for her Master of Science in Nursing, and practiced for 10 years in an OB/GYN clinic in the Seattle area before moving to Portland.
Megan’s diverse upbringing has given her an appreciation of different backgrounds and life experiences. One of her favorite parts about being a nurse practitioner is the connection she develops with patients. She values a trusting and respectful patient-provider relationship and encourages patients to be involved in decision making about their care. She appreciates the unique needs of each person and tries to put her patients at ease in a setting where they often deal with personal, private issues. Megan enjoys the full range of obstetrics and gynecology and has a special interest in pre-conception care, well-woman visits, contraception and prenatal care.
In her free time Megan loves spending time with her family and friends and can often be found doting on her niece and nephews. She enjoys outdoor activities, especially exploring the coast and Central Oregon with her Yorkie. Other interests include cooking, traveling, knitting and sewing.
