Lauren grew up in Southern California enjoying all that the ocean has to offer. She attended the University of California, Santa Barbara for her undergraduate fine arts degree and initially pursued a career in fashion and advertising. Her informal experience helping female peers through reproductive health issues, as well as volunteer positions as a safe sex counselor in college and as a patient support advocate at Planned Parenthood, helped her realize her true passion to combine her interests in women’s and mental health as a career. She moved to Oregon to attend OHSU for her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in nursing, graduating with honors, and board certification as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner.
Lauren appreciates the role that mind, body and spiritual health play in a person's physical and emotional well being. Her areas of practice include women's reproductive health, addiction and forensics. She recognizes that preventative care is ideal and seeks to apply a harm reduction approach when intervention is necessary. Lauren enjoys playing tennis, tending to her chickens and garden, camping, and visiting loved ones in California. She also enjoys being creative through mixed media drawing and jewelry.
