Dr. Burgoine is a lifelong Oregonian and attended the University of Oregon, earning his degree with honors and graduating Phi Beta Kappa. He received his medical degree from Oregon Health & Science University. He continued at OHSU for his residency training, receiving the John S. Miller Award, the Berlex Teaching Award and the Howard P. Lewis Award. He also published research on the emotional impact on women of perinatal loss and grief. He is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Dr. Burgoine is delighted by the honor of attending birth and the unique partnership he shares with women in their care throughout life. His goal is to improve a woman's health by helping her choose among screening, imaging, medical or surgical options with the most benefit and least disruption to her life. In addition to enjoying the diverse scope of practice as an obstetrician and gynecologist, his particular interests include minimally invasive and robotic surgery, gynecologic imaging and ultrasound, contraception and vulvar disease.
Outside of the office, he enjoys spending time with his very patient wife and energetic daughters, fussing in the garden, tinkering as a woodworker and reading about travel.
