Dr. Skrypzak is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology and has been a practicing physician since 1992. She grew up in Erie, Pennsylvania. Her mother was an operating room nurse manager for 30 years, setting a great example of caring and hard work and motivating her to become a physician. Dr. Skrypzak graduated from Gannon University with high honors and from Hahnemann (now Drexel) University School of Medicine in Philadelphia. She completed her OB/GYN residency at the University of Vermont in Burlington.
Dr. Skrypzak enjoys meeting patients, investigating their healthcare concerns and being able to offer options for their treatment—guiding them in making choices that will best suit their lives. She strives for the least invasive path possible before recommending surgery. Her clinical interests include alternatives to hysterectomy, minimally invasive surgery (including robotic surgery), vulvar health and dermatology and preventative women’s health.
Dr. Skrypzak has received regional and national awards for teaching and clinical practice, and has also served in leadership positions in private practice and on hospital staff. She was voted twice by her peers as a Seattle Magazine "
Top Doctor". She was a clinical instructor at the University of Washington School of Medicine and is currently on staff at Oregon Health and Science University. She and her spouse have two school-age children and she enjoys skiing, cycling and gardening.
